Istanbul, Turkey

This was one of our favorite places we visited. Here we took a tour to the Hagia Sophia, hung out at a Turkish Rug shop, went to the Grand Bazaar, visited the Sultan’s palace (The Topkapi Palace) and saw inside the Blue Mosque. I loved learning about their culture and the Muslim religion. I apologize, there are a lot pictures for this one...

The Grand Bazaar

400 streets of this and a whole lot of bargaining

We're on a magic carpet ride! Please, make this picture bigger and check out Scot's face. Its priceless! He is happy to be here!

The girls outside of the wives entrance at the Topkapi Palace. A favorite

Here is where the Sultan would have certain ceremonies take place. The musicians would sit up above and play. If you can tell, the Sultan would sit on the right side and not underneath the musicians because no one was ever allowed to sit above him.

  1. So Garreth and I are sitting here looking through all of your pictures of Europe and we are SO jealous! What an awesome trip! I would die to do something like this one day! Scotty said it was so much fun, and that he tried to appreciate all the art :) haha. You guys are the best. I can't wait to see more pics from your adventure!
