Welcome to the Wild Wild West

This weekend, Scot and James planned a trip to the GR. Talk about a huge success! It was full of shooting guns, hiking and roasting some mellows on the fire. Scot and James were completely in their element and even, at times, forgot that their wives were there. We had such a fun time going to the most beautiful place on earth.

James and Abbie on top of a mountain overlooking the ranch

Scottie promised me he would bring me home some dinner. Sure enough, ten minutes later he came back with this. Pretty proud of my manly husband but not happy he shot an innocent bird.

James' dad let us use his wild wild west gun (i forgot the name) and this is me examining it before I shoot this sucker.

Scottie teaching my how to use it correctly. I guess the wild wild west gun is a pretty big deal.

Let me tell you it had the biggest kick! I was not expecting it at all!

The kick was so bad I accidentally shot two bullets instead of one... after that I didn't like it so much anymore.

Scot shooting the wild wild west gun and loving it! I love this picture because it describes exactly how he was feeling! He is so happy!

Us trying to be tough.

Obviously it didn't work out...

Thanks so much for coming! We love you guys!

Where's Ghillie?

For our anniversary, Scot took the sweet road and treated me like a Queen. As for his gift, he got something that went down in history as one of the most bizarre present you could give your husband for their anniversary... a ghillie suit. Yep. One side of my husband is romantic, caring and loving, and the other side is the guy who wants to look like big foot so he can hide better in the bushes while shooting people with a paint ball gun. Love him so much.

Please notice his little toes sticking out at the bottom right corner!

Such a happy camper!

My brother James got one too. He looks like the grinch!

We went outside for a test run... can you see where he is?

Cooking with the Ludlows

So our new buddies, James and Abbie, have inspired us in many ways but mainly with food. They introduced us to many things including:

THE VITA MIX
This is our new obsession and our new toy that we are hoping for in the future. Seriously, this thing has 2 horse power and can chop up a brick! We stand there in awe at this beautiful creation every time we're over there. They are always nice enough to make us a smoothie, maybe because all we do is sit there and drool at this magnificent machine.

WinCo
Instead of going to the movies, miniature golfing, or play sports, we tend to go to this grocery store to grab our weekly food when we get together. Talk about typical married couples! But seriously, if you have been to this place, you would be doing the same thing. It is incredible how great their food is and for awesome prices! I am now always looking forward to hanging out with James and Abbie because I know we will get our shopping done!

We have learned a lot from the Ludlows and are so happy they are willing to hang out with people who enjoy going to the grocery store on a Friday night (mainly talking about myself). But when its all over, its the best watching Community, Modern Family and The Office with a good piece of cake made my James and Scot and great company. Sure love you guys and thanks for putting up with us!
