September...

Oh how I love September... why?

* Leaves are changing
* Back to school fun (especially when you're not in school this semester... weird!)
* Sweaters, boots, scarves
* Yummy smells
* Momma Neff's pumpkin chocolate chip cookies
* Cooler weather
* Caramel Apples
* Oranges, Browns, Reds, and Greens
* Anticipation of Halloween
* Cinnamon

Earlier in September the Neff's held a recital in the Assembly Hall on Temple Square. Apparently it was a bigger deal then we all thought- we were on the radio and in the news! My favorite part was hanging out backstage with everyone right before playing. It was so much fun just hanging out, then performing, then hanging out again with the babies.

This is why Scot loves this particular September....

He has earned it

I think baby Andrew likes it too...

Other than that, Scot and I have just been working and trying to live each day to its fullest, while our sweet Josey takes naps.

Josey the Wonder Dog

This little one seriously takes the cake. Oh how we love her but how accident prone she is. From serious meningitis (we almost lost her and the doctor said he hadn’t seen a case like it in over 10 years) to throwing up EVERY time we go to the ranch, Josey has been through the ringer... and on Saturday there was no surprise to us that she, yet again, almost lost her life.

Scot and I are just hanging out when all of the sudden we see Josey convulsing. Sure we’ve seen her throw up before but this time it was different. You could see the panick in her eyes.

She was choking.

Choking?! Can dogs choke???? I, of course panick and drop to the floor. I start patting her head--- yeah like that’s going to help. But Scottie, oh my sweet husband who I love so much for this reason- He know exactly what to do- grabs Josey underneath the ribs and does a few pumps and out comes the culprit… a little peace of her toy- yeah. Not buying the cheapies anymore!

You should have seen the relief in her eyes. Oh I felt so bad for the little one. The rest of the day she was almost nostalgic about it… probably thinking how she almost didn’t die again. I seriously don’t get this dog.  She keeps finding ways to hurt herself… and yet… she always seems to come out on top of it.

The moral of the story: don't get a dog. You get too attached...

Sun Valley

Sun Valley was incredible. Mom and the girls headed there in honor of a well needed girls trip for us all.
We first started out with pedicures...

Then played and ate

... then played and ate some more

Then got to see Mr fabulous himself... oh what a night that was... Please don't ask what Krystal and I are doing in the bottom left picture... it doesn't even look cool

I'm telling you this trip was heavenly...

 Thank you so much mother dear! It was incredible and much needed!
