James Farewell

A few weeks ago, my youngest brother James spoke in our ward and said farewell to us to leave for a two year mission in Malaga, Spain. It was hard to say goodbye. We love James so much and will miss him terribly while he is gone but so happy he gets to have this experience. We love you Jeams!
Here are a few shots of the day:

A Little Gettaway....

So I was a little bored one night and decided to just look at flights to Arizona for fun. The next thing I knew, I was booking a trip to see my Arizona friends. Seriously, what was I thinking?! I would be traveling at 34 weeks- the day before I was not allowed to travel anymore! Who does that?! Was it worth it? Absolutely....

First I got to see Emo. Oh how I love this girl. Seriously, it was like we never missed a day talking. And yet we talked so much it was like we hadn't talked in years! It was so much fun seeing her darling place and hanging out with her. She took me shopping and even put up with my stupid pregnancy cravings! Who buys popcorn, pretzels, and sno cones all within an hour? This girl. Yes- I have problems.

Next I got spend time with Grant and Sarah. I love these two people so much. I haven't seen either of them in over three years but it was like we hadn't skipped a beat. I have not laughed that hard hearing Grant reminisce about the crazy UofA days we had together, making him go crazy with our woman issues and indecisiveness... oh man it makes me smile just thinking about the good times we had. I loved seeing them both so much.

Overall it was a short but incredible trip. So grateful I got to spend time with my friends and get a trip in before the baby comes. Thank you sweetie for letting me go and so sad you couldn't come!

Baby Showers

These past couple of months have been teaching and getting ready for baby boy. We are so excited and anticipating our new adventure with this little one. Part of the excitement, I have been so blessed to have some showers and wanted to thank everyone for them! They were AMAZING!!! Each one was so much fun! And after each one, I came home feeling so overwhelmed with gratitude for the people who put them on and everyone's generosity. Here are a few pictures of each shower.

Ward Shower:

Darling decorations!

Love these women! Thank you Sue and Marta for an incredible night!

Student Shower:

AMAZING shower given by my students and their moms. It was such a wonderful shower to spend time with my students outside of the studio and I felt so honored to be their teacher. They treated me like royalty!

Some students and opening gifts. Love you girls! Thank you!

Drury Shower:

I got to share this shower with Abbie Ludlow! It was the best!

The little things...

Since I am still unsure of how to upload pictures without purchasing any more space (aka- if anyone knows, I'm all ears peeps- You know you want to see Thanksgiving, Lauren's wedding,  Josey, Holladay Christmas Tree Lighting, Sisi's blessing, etc), I figured I would take the time to write down the little things that are going on in our lives right now.

Yes. The little things that count. The little things that make you say, "what a great day!"

So here are a few of my favorite little things:

* Getting a love note from the hubby before he leaves for work- thanking me for making him a lunch
* Baby Mark in his awesome coat and boots last night (you all know you want to see pictures!)
* Listening to my student harp ensemble rehearse for their Christmas gigs- a dream of mine becoming a reality
* Jazz games
* Looking down at those nails- proud to see my goal of not biting them come to fruition
* Ultrasounds- Can't get enough of them and this little one seems to create that opportunity
* Josey sleeping by the heater
* Getting up every two hours to go to the bathroom- weird I know but it makes me grateful for knowing my body is healthy during this pregnancy
* Feeling baby boy kick
* Laughing with my brothers last night about childhood memories
* Emotional outbursts- knowing that I'm human and have emotions
* Stringing the lights on our Christmas Tree and drinking hot chocolate with Scot's "secret" recipe
* Dancing to "We are Family" with the Joe Muscolino Band at Lauren's Wedding
* The anticipation of student gigs, birthday, lights at temple square, sausage rolls, scrooge, nutcracker, christmas morning, john coming home, christmas at the webbs, cinnamon twists, and the joy of spending time with family.... it's going to be a great month.

Happy November and onto December!

Halloween Part 1.... Webb Party

I love Halloween... I love the traditions that come with it. I love bread bowls, chili, pumpkin cookies, warm apple cider, homemade doughnuts... basically the food. But I love the company you also surround yourself with. My family happens to be some of the funniest people I know, more specifically- my blood brothers. Who decides to create an alter ego for every person in the family and make a party out of it? They do. (see below) Who decides to always take steps a little too far when it comes to dressing up? They do. That's why I am sad to say that the pictures you see today are only half of what really happened. But don't worry- I have plenty of blackmail pictures if ever needed :)

This is why I love them. They know how to have fun. There is never a dull moment around them. I love them so much and am so grateful for them in my life- but enough of that...
let's get onto the pictures...

First and foremost... the pregnant nun and priest

James dressed up as tight pants....
If you don't know what I am talking about, take a minute to watch this video
I promise it will be well worth your time and James totally got it!

... and this little bunny too!

 There you have it folks

The annual Webb Halloween Party!

I also decided to do a blast from the past (2009) and add in our alter ego party picture as well...

Have a Happy Halloween!
