My sad excuse of a cook

For those of you out their blogging and taking pictures of your amazing food... please don't read this...

Decided today I was going to be crafty in the kitchen. Both Scot and Josey know to vacate the area when this imaginative idea pops into my head- mind you it is also a rarity.

So I thought I would finally make those yummy lemon bars Scot keeps dreaming about. They are amazing and a family recipe....

But sadly, they turned out looking like this.

Do those look like lemon bars to you!? I swear I added everything from the recipe!

Oh you have to beat the eggs? Apparently throwing them in there and stirring them a little wont do the trick...

...I fear for my children.

NYC

*WARNING* PICTURE OVERLOAD

You have been warned. But let me tell you this trip deserves to have this many pictures. It was the trip of all trips- as Scottie would say, "the Webbs know how to travel right."

Dog, Krystal (and baby styles), mom, dad, Scot and I traveled to the big apple. Part of our Christmas, this trip was planned and prepared in a manner to experience New York in style... and full tummies. Maps of tourism were prepared as well as maps of restaurants. I'm tellin' you, after this trip- I am on a constant prowl to find better pizza and steaks.

Day 1: Times Square

Day 2: Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island

Day 3: Ground Zero and Phantom

This pear tree is the only tree that survived the 9/11 attack

The bull... great view eh?

mmmm.... food

Mairin:

While in NYC, we got the chance to visit Mairin and catch up. It was so much fun seeing Mairin and talking until 2:00 am in Times Square in McDonalds! haha oh how we love you Mairin!

Day 4: Shopping in Soho and Wicked

while shopping, we ran into Katherine (Jackson) Peterson! Talk about small world! She was there with her husband and took the day to shop. So good seeing you Katherine! if you want to follow her blog (trust me it's amazing) click here.

mmmm... more food

Wicked!

Day 5: St. Patrick's Day Parade and Frick Museum (and more food)

Proud American. He should be a mayor or something.

Day 6: Church and Central Park

To mom and dad: how can we ever express our gratitude for this incredible trip we had. Thank you for the memories and stories. We're gathering!
