It is time...

... FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Things I have done already but probably should have waited until after Thanksgiving...

10. Decorated my house
09. Watched "Elf"
08. Listened to FM 100.3 and 106.5 EVERY DAY since November 1st
07. Overspent on Christmas Presents... always
06. Started counting down for Christmas
05. Made Cinnamon Twists
04. Drank Hot Chocolate
03. Bought my students their Christmas Gifts
02. Played Christmas Harp Music rather than practicing
01. CHRISTMAS MUSIC on Pandora daily

... this is why I get the January blues. No worries- this year I am prepared with my happy light.

CANNOT WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This Thanksgiving, we had the opportunity to spend some time at Haven Spring Ranch. Oh how I love that place. I woke up Thanksgiving morning to the sun rising and the sky as a pretty pink. Josey was in heaven which drove Scot and I crazy- we couldn't keep her nose under control. But there are so many good memories there in Heber. Which brings me to my next subject. Gratitude. Yes, another blog that expresses their gratitude. But as I sat at the round table for dinner, I couldn't help but think of how much Heavenly Father has blessed me. So here comes a list of a few of the many blessing in my life...

Family. My sweet patient husband. Josey. An income. Music. My Harp. The Gospel. Hot chocolate. Food. Traditions. candles. My students. Good friends. Our bed. Great memories. Traveling. Laughing. Christmas. Cars. Technology. Bright Nail Polish. my darling nieces and nephews. seasons. my education. Scot's new job. New babies. Did I mention food?

Here are a few pictures of that great day...

Happy Thanksgiving! We are grateful for you!

Ode to my baby... (for now)

As I speak, I sit at the computer with my pup beside me... her curled on top of my feet. Always has to be touching her mama. Who would have thought that you could become so attached to a fury creature?! But as I look back, I realized that we picked up Josey at the perfect time in our lives. A time when the baby situation isn't quite here. I look around me and marvel at how many people have their hands full with children, or are expecting one on the way. I get excited with them when the news is shared, babies are born, or their first step is taken, but as I sit here scratching behind Josey's ears, I realize how grateful I am to have her next to me. She is my side kick, my buddy, my companion, someone to hold when I cry, and someone who will always be waiting for me at the door. I think about this time in November for things I am grateful for, and I can't help but write how much I am grateful for this little ball of energy as she chews apart her stuffed animal. Thank you Josey for being so sweet! We sure love you in this little family.

Cowboy Poetry

Our annual Cowboy Poetry was a hit! Starting off with a little Baxter Black and ending with our own. Here are a few pictures of the night. So fun!

Us with Baxter Black

Since Scottie has started his new job, our sweet Josey has noticed. Dad is never home to play with her during the day. There are moments when I will be working on the computer and then realize Josey is not by my side in her regular spot. I hit the front room to find this....
