I HATE blogs
What is it about blogs that are so addicting? It's 1:30pm right now and I have still not gotten ready for the day. Seriously, who invented these things that trap you in and make you stay glued to a screen for hours? It takes Scot's man power to drag me away and tell me that life is too short to be looking at everyone else's lives. But I just love it so much. I love catching up on what everyone is doing and seeing pictures of cute kids and food! Oh man the food that is shown! Talk about a chef boyardee! I'm obsessed! I am beginning to think therapy is needed for bloggers and bloggees and everyone else who spends their time looking. I will admit it, I have ultimately fallen into the hole. And if you are reading this, then so have you...

Today I am Grateful For....

TOILETS
This past week has been pretty rough for Scot and me. I caught a bug from family and gave it to Scot. We have been throwing up for the past four days and are starting to come to the light (seriously, just left my basement today). It sucks. But man oh man it has made me so grateful for toilets. I laid there, telling God to take me now and then looked across the room to our bathroom and saw the white shiny throne. How on earth did they do it back then?! Pretty sure with Scots throw up and mine combined, it could have filled our house. It has sucked so bad but has made me so grateful for our health. We may not be 100% with everything but, hey, at least we have toilets.
Happy Easter!
Happy Happy Easter! This weekend was full of relaxation, a fabulous general conference and easter egg hunts! What a party! It started Friday night at Grandma Neffs hanging out with the Gerards (who were in town for conference) and catered Cafe Rio. Saturday was full of laying around, watching conference and reading a good book.

Sunday was hanging out with the Neffs and more easter egg hunts!
The anticipation
Getting ready to go
Grabbing the eggs as fast as he can!

Enjoying the eggs
Goofing off with the sisters
Jeni and me. Such an amazing sister! Love you Jeni!
I think my favorite moment was when Isaac Jackson pulled out a really hard peeps and asked who put peeps in the easter eggs and no one responded. Turned out it was last years! Talk about a great find Isaac! You win for this year.
Its been a great weekend. Despite the sickness and not so spring weather, we are grateful that we got to spend the time with families and reflect on our Savior and what He did for us. What incredible blessings we have in our lives. Happy Easter to you all!

APRIL FOOLS!
Today brings back so many great memories I have with family and friends. You see, it was tradition to create the absolute BEST April Fools jokes on Scot in our high school career. Here they are:
April Fools #1 2003: The Meeting
Scot and I had only been dating for a couple of months. He was still getting to know my family. On April 1, a bunch of friends decided to skip school and head to Denny's. Who happened to be there? My dad. He remembers Scot rolling in acting so cool with his boys and me bouncing behind with my gals. I will never forget thinking how neat it was to 'sluff' school and then seeing my dad staring straight at me as I came into those doors. Whoops!
Thats not the point. The point is that my dad later called Scot and told him they needed to meet about what happened. He brought him into his office, sat him in his little seat as he leaned back in his leather reclining chair across from the desk. He then proceeded to lecture my poor boyfriend about how skipping school is wrong and he needs to be an example for those around him. He even quoted scripture! Scot was mortified and almost in tears. Little did he know I was hiding under the table, taping the entire conversation. ARPIL FOOLS!
April Fools #2 2004: The Beer Run
Things were a little rocky for Scot and me our junior year but we kept coming back to each other. This year, my dad lovingly reminded me that it was April Fools and the time had come for #2.
Scot and I were driving to my parents house when a cop pulled us over. Oh dear. Scot rolled down the window slowly as the officer asked him for his license and registration. Scot asked him what was wrong and he told him that the car had been tagged as a beer run and that he was required to step out of the car. He then proceeds to hand cuff Scot, told me to wait and sent Scot to his car. I sat there, shaking from nerves and trying not to laugh at the same time. The best part was walking to the car and seeing Scot's face panic as he screamed, "get back in the car Abby! The cop told you to stay there!" Little did he know that I had a card saying APRIL FOOLS!
April Fools #3 2005: Methanol Blue
One of Scot's favorite treats are brownies. So I decided to be a sweet girlfriend and make him some. Little did he know there was Methanol Blue added to the ingredients causing your urine to turn bright blue. My dad also added that there was a serious disease going around called "urinisotisis"and the only way you can tell you have it is if you pee blue. My poor Scot. He believed him. APRIL FOOLS!
All in all, we have had some good laughs. Thanks for being such a great sport sweetheart. Sure love you and am so grateful you still dated or even talked to me after these events. You are a big trouper! Love you.
I do have to add that part of getting married meant no more APRIL FOOLS! So a happy April Fools to you all and hope you had a good day of laughs!

Lydia's Baby Blessing and Daring Boys

Lydia Martsie Webb
The Jacob Webb fam

One of Porter's favorite thing

Porter sad he can't fly anymore

Mr. Paul after eating some chocolate cookies. Check out his spiffy outfit!
Scot and me
Besides Lydia being blessed, we had an incident that included creepy crawlers and of course... Dog.
He wanted to be a daring boy.
"EGG-"actly!

So Saturday night, Scot and I were trying to figure out how to spend the night and somehow we ended up making our way to the grocery store and finding an egg decorating kit. Totally worth $2. Kept us entertained the whole night.

Gotta love digital cameras and husbands who will never smile right on the first try
SPRING BREAK!!!!!
Spring Break has come and gone... but oh what a break it was. It was full of relaxing from the harp (for the first half), eating out, shopping, bowling and above all, spending time with Scot. Here are a few of my favorite things we did.

Gone Fishing!

Read a good book

Took awesome naps

But above all, I think our favorite was going to the zoo!

Scottie with his very LARGE turtle friend.

My favorite animal... the baby elephant!

All in all, it was a great break.
Sad it's over but so happy we were able to take one.
