If only I were a lizard
If only I could be a lizard and hang out... literally. Doesn't have to worry how he's going to get through this week with practicing, work, teaching, drama, STRESS. He's probably thinking how great it is to hang his feet like that. If only I could be a lizard.
Fall break in 4 more days Abby, 4 more days.

September
September was a busy month full of rehearsals, practicing, work, school, teaching and of course working out at DASH with the sister in laws. It was overall a busy month but I wanted to post my favorite parts:
Labor Day Weekend:

We got to go to the desert and camp out with Abbie and James Ludlow. This is the only picture I got from the trip. What is it about men and guns? Favorite part of the trip- sleeping with 4 people in a 3 man tent! haha
Lion King:

Mom took the girls out to see Lion King. It was epic! The best part was that I got to go again with Scot and his family. Thank you to both families! I feel so lucky to have gone twice!

The Mullet:

James can finally put his hair into a braid! He's growing up so quickly!
Temple Trips:

Got to see one of my bestie's Sarah Parker. We went to the temple and spent the afternoon talking for a good three hours. Oh how I have missed that girl! Then the following week John went through for the first time. So great.
Harp Ensemble Concert:

Glad its over but the best part was that Ruthie came into town and I got to see her and spend some time with her as well. Sure love you Ruthie!

Who knows what Kephren is doing in the picture but every time I see this picture it makes me laugh I think thats what we all wanted to do that night. Sure love you Keph!
Birthday Gals:

Wishing a Happy Birthday to the girls in my life. Sure love each one of you!

TREK
I know I know... It's what every person dreads. The moment we got called, we were praying for any way to get out of it. I even told him it was over Scot's birthday hoping it would help us out of this situation. Turns out...
It was one of our favorite things we did this summer.
Sounds crazy. But it was awesome. Scot and I grew together so much on that trip- seeing things in each other we didn't know existed. It was so apparent that we were called to do this for us.
Above all, our family was the best. Our kids were more like examples to us rather than the other way around. We could not believe the caliber of people we had to share this with. In fact, they were so great I have to brag and tell you how awesome they are:
This is Jeff. He was the oldest of the family and the hardest worker. Every other second he asked if there was anything he could do to help. I eventually had to start making stuff up.
Next is Heather. So grateful to finally get to know her since she is in our ward. Heather never stopped pushing. She always gave 100%. When I think of Heather, I think of someone who knows exactly who she is and knows where she is going in life. Extremely gifted with singing as well.
Here's Taylor. Too legit to quite. The goof of the family and made us all look good cause everyone always wanted to be around him. Probably got along with Scottie too well. Has a heart of gold because he is always caring about others.
Then there's Hannah. So much fun and so full of light. Her laugh alone kept me smiling. So full of personality and so much talent. Sang my husband to sleep and called him Marcus.
This is Chris. There are two words to describe him: dedication and optimism. Every morning he would be the first one up getting the coals ready for breakfast and every time I would complain, he would quietly say, "It could be worse."
Next is Anna Banana. Talk about a sweetheart. So close to the spirit and smiled wherever she went. Guys were flocking because they knew she was actually worthwhile. Pushed hard even with a broken wrist!
Last but not least, Brock. The youngest of the group. Reminded me so much of my little brother which made me love him even more. Brock is the type of person who gets a thrill out of just living every day. Contagious cause after talking with Brock, it made me want to go bungee jumping and play with fireworks. He was so much fun.
Brock not walking with shoes... cause he could
Scot pulling the handcart
After the women's pull... so tough
Taylor showing us how he slept that night
Setting up tent
In other words, we were really grateful we got to go and share this experience with the youth. They are awesome and we really loved every minute of it. Love you Trek Family! Thanks for making it so wonderful!

Goodbye Europe... Until We Meet Again
Sienna, Italy
Sienna was one of my favorite places we stayed at. It was so picturesque and a side of Italy I haven't seen before. It reminded me of hanging out at Olive Garden.... mmmm. One day we rented scooters and went through streets we shouldn't have and even ran into castles we never knew were there. It was awesome. Thank you to Krystal who made us go! Totally worth it!
Hanging out at the Square
Of course... gelato
A parade going through Sienna
Renting Scooters
And seeing this...
... and this
... and even this
We like to think we're cool
Goodbye Italy! Oh how we will miss you and hope to come back soon!
